“For us, INTERMODELLBAU is an indispensable place to showcase the latest developments, exchange ideas with the community and reach new target groups.”

1st question:
What do you always look forward to most at INTERMODELLBAU?
The direct exchange with model building fans, families and end consumers. Nowhere else do you get such direct feedback as at a trade fair – these reactions are particularly valuable for us. When we trigger joy with our products, it’s the best compliment for the work of the teams behind Carrera and Revell.
2nd question:
What do you think makes a trade fair like INTERMODELLBAU so important for the model-making world?
INTERMODELLBAU is not only the largest model-making trade fair, but also the one with the largest audience. This is where the scene meets – from newcomers to professionals. For us, INTERMODELLBAU is an indispensable place to showcase the latest developments, exchange ideas with the community and reach new target groups.
3rd question:
What topics and trends are driving the industry/your sector this year?
The target group of kids continues to be a strong growth driver. Many adults are rediscovering model making – with high-quality design, sophisticated themed worlds and products that combine a passion for collecting and creative design. At the same time, interest in natural materials is growing, which Revell caters to perfectly with its Tiny Adventures made of wood.
Strong licenses also remain in demand: at Revell, the spectrum ranges from Harry Potter, Game of Thrones and The Lord of the Rings to Naruto and One Piece, which are implemented in various product categories such as model making, RC and 3D puzzles. With new additions to the range and innovative lines, Revell not only inspires die-hard fans, but also appeals specifically to new people interested in model making – and awakens the desire to do it yourself.
At Carrera, 2025 will also be all about license diversity and innovation. Under the claim “We love Racing”, the brand is bringing top trend themes to the racetrack – from Formula 1 fever with true-to-original vehicles to entertainment highlights such as Mario Kart™, Spidey and Friends, Batwheels, PAW Patrol or the newcomer Bluey. For young racing drivers there is fun directly from their favorite series, and for motorsport fans there are classics from Formula 1, DTM and Nascar.
The fascination for the premier class is greater than ever: the seventh season of the successful Netflix documentary Drive to Survive was launched in March and the upcoming Formula 1 blockbuster F1 with Brad Pitt will finally turn the racing series into a Hollywood hit. So it’s no wonder that Formula 1 is also one of the trending topics of the year at Carrera – and fans can look forward to many exciting new products that will be released in the second half of the year. With the new, broad Carrera Formula 1 portfolio, the thrill can be experienced up close in your own four walls – there will not only be a new DIGITAL 132 track and three GO!!! tracks, there will also be three Formula 1 cars from the current 2025 season from August with the Ferrari SF-25 “L. Hamilton, No.44”, the McLaren Formula 1 Team “L. Norris, No.4” and the Mercedes-AMG F1 W16 E Performance “G. Russell, No.63”. And Revell is also looking ahead to the end of the year: This is when the reissue of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-25 “L. Hamilton” will be released – an iconic model from the 2010 Formula 1 season with a strong collector’s appeal.
At the same time, Carrera is constantly setting new trends with products such as the hybrid racetrack, the Speed Arena Set and the RC Football Set – Bundesliga.
