“INTERMODELLBAU is important because the entire industry meets here – from accessory forums to system manufacturers. In addition, there are the many dedicated clubs that present their show layouts – in all gauges.”

1st question:
What are you always particularly looking forward to at INTERMODELLBAU?

We are particularly looking forward to INTERMODELLBAU because we can present our new products for the Märklin, TRIX and LGB brands there. Messe Dortmund always knows how to inspire the trade visitors who fill the halls on the first two days of the fair. And at the weekend, families visit the fair to bring the model railroads back into the children’s rooms. An ideal combination for us.

2nd question:
Would you like to and can you already tell us what the highlights of your trade fair presence will be in 2025?

On the first day of the fair, we will present the AC/DC Rock’n’Roll Train at our stand at 3 pm. Our Managing Director Wolfrad Bächle will then unveil what the locomotive finally looks like. At the same time, he will also be showing a beautiful six-meter-long gauge 1 train that is sure to cause a stir. These are the biggest highlights for us and we look forward to welcoming as many model railroaders as possible to our stand for this new presentation.

We are also looking forward to presenting the models to the trade fair audience live for the first time, which we will be unveiling in Düsseldorf at the end of March together with the brothers “Os Gêmeos”, two renowned graffiti artists.

3rd question:
What do you think makes a trade fair like INTERMODELLBAU so important for the model making world?

INTERMODELLBAU is important because the entire industry meets here – from accessory forums to system manufacturers. Added to this are the many dedicated clubs that present their show layouts – in all gauges. It’s great to see that INTERMODELLBAU always manages to attract visitors to Dortmund not only from Germany, but also from other countries such as the Benelux countries.
